Resupply - pick a ship, pick a weapon, tech, energy cells, missiles or whatever, pick a quantity and off it goes. The commands you can give with supply command: In short if you want a ship that can do most trade/supply functions short of UT they will need: If you want to specify best buy they need the "Best Selling Price Locator", trade command software mkII and a trading system extension. Equip them with 4 x novas, 10 fighter drones MKII, mosquito missile defense and MARS and they will typically stay alive. Magnetars are good for resupply ships because they can carry 4 fighters. all on their own, so be careful where they might go. If you have the Supply Command software and transporter device installed and you have set the Advanced Jump drive settings so they will jump at any range then they will jump to get what you tell them to get under the resupply command and then jump back. The supply command is for ships not drones. ![]() Do they choose the nearest supplier and go get the supplies? or the can you specify best price and the use that? do they need the trading software installed? I presume if you have the software you can give the orders, but do they need the corrosponding software to carry out or recieve the orders? You are talking about ordering the freight drone here? or can this command work with any ship? if so, lets say you have a fast ship that has a jumpdrive (which is set to use automatically- will they jump automatically to a sector if there is no supplier in their current one?- then jump to sector of target ship?) ive never tried this as i didnt know how the resupply worked as far as automation goes. Choose "resupply ships", specify what ship (or fleet), what you want to supply and the amount and off it goes. Then the sky is the limit at this point - buy a Tiger, buy a destroyer, a Thresher, do plot missions at this point, fly around in your souped up Nova or Discoverer exploring the universe for fun and profit (to open up the sectors for your automatic traders).Originally posted by blitzind:As Harrison said you want a transporter device, but if you just have that you still have to do the freight exchange manually, if you also get supply command software you can automate ship equipping and resupply through the special command menu. If you want to know what sectors are best for microchip, wheat, I can tell you where I put them. Put a 3 connected complex of Microchip factories in a certain sector. Put some wheat farms in wheat starved sectors in Argon space but especially Boron space - they need wheat and have none. until you want to make complexes and buy destroyers. Once you have 10 (and then more and more) uni traders, money is not an issue. Then keep making sector traders in Empire's Edge, and when they reach 15-20 level make them into Universal Traders.ĭon't forget to get them jump drives, and in orders menu to put their automatic jump ON - and also, crucial, to have energy cell reserves to make at least 4 jumps (that way they can always have e-cells stock to escape attacks). Then make the traders into Mark 3 sector traders in Empire's Edge - at this point your relations with everyone are good due to running missions for them. Then get the passenger module or TP ship and pasenger transport missions. Then assassinate missions while grinding both traders. Then you make enough money to buy a fighter, because otherwise game becomes boring. Then you buy 2nd ship and continue grinding both ships. First you grind the energy and ore runs in Argon sector ore mines into Argon Prime and Home of Light. ![]()
